An injection of Swedish glossy love..

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Swedish 'Sköna Hem' and all the fabulous house tours they so generously share via their website. Not only does it allow for much appreciated time to dream and be inspired, it also gives me an instant injection of 'home-sickness-remedy'.

Here are some recent house tours that captured my Swedish heart in their own unique manner.. Hope you enjoy them too.

  10. Beautiful images. I love how functional, stylish and compact the kitchen in the third image is. Just the art alone resting on the counter top makes me dream.

  17. Charlotta,
Many good things to comment on here, but I think what I find most appealing is that each one of these is such a good example of simple, beautiful spaces that are not overdone!

  20. Dear Charlotta! How fun and worldy a post :) I didn't know I would travel so far when checking in! That Italian hide-away is just amazing! I think my kids could play hid and go seek all day in there. The spicy art den is so chic and relative to what so many seek to achieve in a home these days. Lovely! Got your email and thank you for the 411 on the remedies! Thinking of you in this hectic time of the year. Love, Kelly

  21. Charlotta I want that house in Italy, is that for real? It is so different from anything I have ever seen... it has the rustic feel from the walls but so much sophistication with the use of white and clean lines... Lucky people whoever lives there, don't you think?

  26. Three of my favorite places. Yes, really! Scandinavia (but mostly Stockholm!), NY (where I have been many, many times and would have lived had I not met Peter) and Italy (spent 5 months in Firence and my long life dream is to speak the language fluently).

    All lovely.

    Warm hugs to you.

  32. The simplicity on third example, Italian hide-away, perfectly blends with the historic context. It seems to be a contemporary reinterpretation of an old historic building with a sort of minimalis touch. For what it's worth, recently I took contact with a new exclusive design brand that fits on contemporary reinterpretation: http://bocadolobo.com/

Ms Blue Fruit - Yes the boat house is divine. So calling me too! :) x

Nicole - So glad you enjoyed this post. A NYC roof top apartment wouldn't be bad..! And that Italian dream castle which surprisingly is located at the very tip of the 'heel of Italy'. Stunning. x

    Rachel - Thanks hun. xx

Mnemonique - Hello my friend. Long time no see. So glad you liked this one. Have a great week. x

Julie - Thanks darling. Yes, I love that b/w art too and also how it doesn't feel like a kitchen at all. Clever layout. x

Shame about the brushes. Another reason to travel some more.. :) xx

Ada - Please feel free to post away the Italian dream. I'll pop over and visit you soon. xx

Lise - Hey there. Been thinking of you a lot lately. Will catch up soon. xx

Stacey - Hello darling. Thanks for this. Hugs xx

Kelley - I know what you are saying about the 'hide and seek'. Isabella and Oscar would join in a blink! xx

Vanessa - hi darling. It's unique isn't it!?! Completely dreamed up and built by this Danish couple who initially thought of getting something locally.. Dream big!! :)

Tina - Skona Hem Country Life will be great of that I am sure. Can't wait to get my Swedish mittens on a copy! Kram kram

  35. Carole - Hi darling. I have missed you. Hope all is well. x Isn't the Italian place just like a dream. Such a creative and unexpected place.

Mon dear sis - I know what you are saying. I too had dreams about NYC but somehow fate interfered. Can you imagine how much fun we would have had we met there as bachelorettes!?! :) Firense - I had no idea. I too dream of speaking Italian fluently - I once lived there too but the language is fading. xx

Jill - Doesn't it!! I am so homesick right now, though feel so at home here in Sydney too. So confusing being a dual-country-citizen isn't it.. KRAMAR xx

Liz - Thanks for the comment. I'll be over shortly. xx

    Caitlin - Thanks darling. xx

Dawn - Hi hun. Yes these are all great homes aren't they?! So glad you liked them. x

Noe - Trulli yes. I think that's it. Such an unexpected location for a home like this don't you think?! xx

    Punctuation Mark - Thank you . x

Nicholle - Yes it is such a unique place. Love that it's a new build and you can tell so much thought has been put into it. The only thing I miss with it is a bit more contrast. Perhaps with time the landscape will provide that.
Thanks for the link. Will check out.

    Have a great week all!

    xx Charlotta
