Heavenly house - heavenly home...

I love this house featured in Swedish magazine 'Sköna Hem'.
(link in my magazine list below)

Really I am just torturing myself
when I look at and write about houses like these,
because they make me miss home so much it hurts!

Built in 1871, it was apparently once
the residence of King Karl XV ,
and a popular hang-out for King Gustav V.
Today it is the lovingly restored home
to the English McCabe family.

I love the typically 'Scandi' light interiors,
and the focus on maximizing all that unique Swedish light
pouring in from the large windows.

I can just imagine how amazing it would be to live there in winter..
That beautiful tiled wood fire stove going,
the wooden floors covered in woven rugs,
candles in every window,
a cup of hot chocolate in the kitchen
after a long walk in the snowy wonderland..

Ok.. I better stop or I will start crying..
;)
