I love the simple, clean and uncomplicated
beauty of these rooms and settings.
Soothes my soul to look at images like these.
Isn't this bed just amazing!
Clock cabinet by Daniel Hale. I'm drooling..
Those windows! Those chairs with that table.. Stunning.
Something about monochromatic rooms at the moment.
Perhaps because I am mentally preparing for Autumn and Winter..?
Modern art (Miro) in a traditional setting.. Divine.
Raw linen - could never have too much of this. So Scandinavian!

The bed is amazing and so are the pewter platters. You already know what I think of clock cabinets! (: ox Mon
Thank you girlies.
This peeled back simplistic elegance really appeals to my Scandi little self. Glad you both like too.
Yes, Monika. Ja! :) Your post on Clock Cabinets. How could I forget!!? It went straight to my vault of treasures. I, like you am dreaming of carrying one over my threshold..
For anyone reading this and not only a kneeling fan of Splendid Willow (like I) - please go over there now and check out Monika's amazing posts, and particularly that of Clock Cabinets!

I love the bed in the first photo. I saved a blurry version of it from another blog some time ago, but wasn't sure of the source. I'm glad to learn it's from Cote Sud. Do you have a larger version of the photo? I can't tell exactly what material the bed is made of.
James - hello and thanks for stopping by.
Yes the bed is fantastic and I am glad you got the source. Unfortunately this is the only image I have, but it was featured in the Oct/Nov issue of 2001. Perhaps you can contact Cote Sud and ask them?
In my eyes it looks like distressed metal - steel or iron.. The stuff old tubs and buckets were made of. Or perhaps tin..but that material is quite soft and I am not sure it sustains a bed structure..
Anyway. I hope this helps James. Good luck in your search and please let me know how you go.

Hi, Charlotta. LeAnn from linen & lavender here. I think you may have pulled the first bed photo from my blog. I had it cropped and saved a specific way and it appears to be the exact photo from what I can tell. Anyway, I do have the original photo on file and will research and let you all know the source if it is available. I'll report back here to this comment link or anyone interested can email me at linenandlavender@gmail.com
Lovely blog you have, Charlotta. Thanks for visiting l & l and I'll be back to see you again soon. Take care ~LeAnn
LeAnn - welcome to my blog and thanks for your comment.
As per the image reference the bed is from Cote Sud and I had it saved as such.
I have added your reference to the source list however have seen the image elsewhere too. Not sure where however but if I find out I will let you know.
Have a great rest of the week and thanks again.
