Kids art as jewelery by Mia van Beek

What a cute idea for Mother's Day..

Having had such wonderful feedback, including a comment by
Mia van Beek the designer herself, who happens to be a good
friend and nearby neighbour of my lovely friend Lotta in the US,
I am updating this post with some more details of these pieces.

Mia, like Lotta and I, is Swedish and is a trained goldsmith
with focus on unique one-of-a-kind pieces with a contemporary
flair. Her bio is impressive as is her extensive range of pieces.

I can see a drawing like this for Father's Day. Perhaps as a key chain or money clip!?

Mia ships her work all over the world (including Australia. Yay!)
and you can browse her gorgeous gallery of both 'children's art'
jewellery and key chains, and fantastic adult pieces in her
Etsy shop, via her website 'Formia' or via her Facebook page.

Mia, thank you / tack for leaving a comment so that I could
find out more about you. I am definitely placing an order in
the not too far future. I hope that many others do too!

Sublime!!! I saw some pictures of à designer who turns colourful childrens drawings into stuffed ragdols! Also very refreshing. It' was in an elle magazine. Can t remimber THE designer though. But the hangers or keychains are great! And Nice to Carry close!
Thanks

Tina - Thank you. I just feel for this instantly. Such a brilliant idea!

Sansku - Even the little monsters are cute in my book! :)

Sue - Isn't it. I so applaud the woman behind this idea!

Karena - Hello. So nice to see you here. Have missed you. Yes, I think this is beyond clever. What a great idea!

Hope girl - Thanks hon. x

Shari - thanks xx

Veronique - Yes, I love the thought of carrying my kids' creations close to my heart. Have a huge collection of plastic (Hama) beed necklaces that they have done for me.. Be nice to mix it up a bit! :)

Lumo - Thanks lovely. Hey, I have my first lot of Sydney pictures in the camera. Creating that first post for you soon!

Lotta - Hej! What a small world and thank you for letting me know. I am adding her name to the post to give her credit! Yes, let's catch up soon. Hoping you are well. Kram xx

Monika - yes the world is so small and I love that Lotta knows Mia. I think yes, I am going to have to do this one. My kids are creative robots and turn out an incredible amount of drawings and paintings every day (it's in the genes..). Must choose carefully!

Mia - hello and THANK YOU for finding me. I think this idea of yours is AMAZING! I am updating the post now with your name and other details. Look at all the wonderful feedback you got on this. I'd love to know more.

Have a fab continuation of the week lovelies!

xx Charlotta
