Hi darlings! I thought I'd slip in yet another splendid house tour before I continue on with the 'detox series'.
I sighed from my toes in pleasure when seeing the images of this NY duplex home over at 'Casa Très Chic'.
I really like the architectural bones of the house, as well as the scaled back yet warm decor. There are so many layers of details to note so please take your time..!
This quiet and rather 'masculine' decor appeals to me and I get a modern hint of 'African Colonial gent's club' though the colours, those wonderful chairs, as well as that fabulous over-sized potted palm tree. To me, the room wouldn't have the same appeal without that splash of life and greenery. And of course the floor to ceiling windows help too. They seem to go on for ever don't they!?!
All images from the lovely 'Casa Tres Chic'.
Back soon.. Mmwaaah for now.

Those windows are glorious. I like the easy elegance here. My aversion to color (which is what my post is about today oddly) makes me think I could be very comfortable in this home.
Charlotta I adore the huge palm the light, as you say the masculine yet not too heavy look! Beautiful!
I wanted you to know...I am featuring Anita Rivera, our Friend, Designer and Paper Artist with Castles Crowns & Cottages on my site!

I really liked it. What a space!!!
The bedroom in white and grey my favourite! and the little strokes of ethnic decoration.
Really nice.!!!
Charlotta,
I love the masculine side of this space. It's calm and low maintenance just as men are, most of the time. LOL...
Thank you for your beautiful comment and for pinning some of my images.
Best,
Julie
Hi lovely, I swear it is also the black accent color. Scandinavians are so good at adding black to white interiors so I am not surprised at all that you gravitate to this lovely and chic home! And all that natural light of course.
MEGA hugs to you and thank you for letting me off-load today! (:

Hi Dear Charlotta
Well I like the masculine touches also.. I think it creates a bit of grounding.. darker tones.. and not too much frou frou.. and I agree about the Afican Colonial feel.. fabulous.. a look I've always admired
Hope you are well... and kiddies too.. Sydney's weather is nuts.. a few days back summer clothing and then straight into the chilly weather... You must be looking forward to spring your way..
