Stay in a chateau

Have you every stayed in a castle?

I have had that privilege a few times, both when I lived in France 

and in Scotland, and once at a private castle in Switzerland
and once also in fabulous Tuscany, Italy.

It is a great experience and also a little bit scary -

especially if you need to use the bathroom 

in the middle of the night...

But all that mystery and ambiance is what makes it so

great though and I find myself drawn to the tangible

history and ways of the past.

Here is a lovely castle that I haven't stayed in yet,

but I would love to do so next time I happen

to be in Cognac, France...
