Sydney goes red

Due to a freakish storm and some very high winds blowing
thick clouds of red dust from the centre of Australia,
we woke to a surreal image of 'Martian red' light this morning..

Here are some unretouched images by local photographers..

More from here, here and here

Thankfully Isabella has been coping well with the
thick air, despite warnings by the Department of Health
that asthmatics and children may experience problems
until the dust clouds clear later on today...

P.S. I bet the local car and window washing companies are
thanking the weather gods for the thriving business they
can expect following this freakish weather....

We read about it over here, and I was thinking of you. Crazy, spooky! Cyber hug. Monika.

Thank you! Yes it was completely surreal and scary - particularly because of Isabella's health.
Clear blue skies and bright sunshine today - much appreciated!
