Bembea House, Kenya

On the edge of a small fishermen's village by the fringe
of Shela Beach is this tranquil paradise of a house.

Swahili architecture mixed with comfort and style.

It is wonderful how the pale blue Smeg just suddenly pops up in the
middle of this Swahili haven.. So unexpected but perfectly ok somehow.. :)

Love the pendant lamp above the staircase.

Rooftop retreat with Lamu four-poster bed & traditional mosquito nets.
The interior bedrooms all have ceiling fans - a welcome night relief I am sure..
