Real Cup Cakes

I guess 'cup cakes' shouldn't be served any
other way than this!!

Fabulous Pumpkins

Though Halloween for me is connected with the
cool winds of fall, and the golden foliage of the Northern
hemisphere (Sydney is in full Spring!), I am still getting
into the spirit through the abundance of inspiration around.

My favourite thing about this festive holiday is pumpkins..

Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Richard Bach is a favourite writer
of mine, and his world famous book
about the bird that broke free from the
limitations of his earthly life is
a regular re-read of mine.

'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' (*)

If you haven't read it, I highly recommend
you do so - it is enriching and full of wisdom!

I am off to bed now, and love & leave you
with this photo by 'Bloom Grow Love'.

G'nite!

House Tour Stockholm

Here's a real-life Swedish city flat whose owners
wanted to create a personal home where
family heirlooms, designer pieces and flea market finds
live happily next to each other in what they
fondly refer to as an 'orderly mess'.

I like this approach to decorating, and though my personal
style may be a little more streamlined & lean more towards
order rather than mess, there is certainly a healthy & proud
mix-match of things in our 'Swedish-Australian' home.

It is this 'unexpected' and 'off-the-beaten-track' look
of a home that I love the most, as it is genuine & honest
and allows the real story of the inhabitants to come through.
If this happens to be achieved through decor with a flavour of
sleek bohemia, distinguished eccentricity or playful eclecticism;
it doesn't matter to me, I find them all equally charming.

Here's a mini tour of that city flat..

Cute Esty finds

Found two new (to me) designers on Etsy just now.

London based 'Tovicorri' who does these cute
ipod/iphone holders in printed leather..

Also found NY based designer 'Oktak' who makes
some very cute pouches and bags..

Would all make lovely little gifts don't you think!?

Window in Denmark and the lovely 'Spagat' blog..

Off to bed now after a hectic day in my studio -
in fact the first one since Isabella got well.

It was nice to paint again (!) and I did finish a
large painting for a Client here in Sydney. YAY!
Will post an image on my 'work blog' tomorrow.

Leaving you now, with this lovely picture.
Snatched (!) from a nice Danish blog called;

G'nite!

PS.
Whilst you are at the 'Spagat' site, do look at the divine
pictures of 'trees' in interiors... I LOVE trees!! Actually
I love them so much I have plans to do a book about them..
More about that later.. for now feast on this.. HERE.

Ryantown - again

Ok so I am repeating myself here...

You see, I blogged about 'Ryantown' and
the talented Mr Rob a while ago (*), but the designs
are so beautiful and addictive that I just can't help myself..

I mean just look at this one people!

Limited edition print (1:14) - surely
sold out by now...
(however if not, then 'Dear Santa..')

As you Londoners know, 'Ryantown', the shop,
is situated at 126 Columbia Rd (E2)...

I will be there with bells and whistles
next time I am in town.

It looks wonderful and you can read a first hand
shop experience on the lovely blog 'Made By White'

Last but not least, some more eye candy from the
'Ryantown blog', that was launched in support of
the shop opening back in June 2008.

Super cute leather wallets available via the store... *sigh*

Sticky tape (via the Esty shop)

This is what I should have hyperventilated in
a couple of weeks ago whilst waking next
to my sick daughter in hospital...

P.S.

pop up show in NY back in May - click HERE.

When are you coming to Sydney Rob?
