Amy Neunsinger - "Five minutes from mayhem.."

Hidden away in Laurel Canyon, LA is the home
of photographer Amy Neunsinger and her family.

A home they refer to as their '5 minutes from mayhem' (L.A.)..

The house used to be a 1 400 square foot rectangle,
however was refurbished and transformed into a
modern yet soft and cozy home that to me mirrors
the style of Amy's own work - warm, personable, yet
with a fresh crispness and soft contemporaneity.

How fab isn't this window wall..!?!

I featured Amy's home before in THIS post, however here
are some more images from 'House Beautiful' mag.
Do jump across to see more images and to read
the accompanying interview by Alexandria Mott.

Loving the chairs, but would have gone for raw (untreated).

What I perhaps like best with this home is the light,
the choice of materials, the seamless inside/outside
spaces and the balanced mix of old and new, as well
as industrial and feminine. Juan-Felipe Goldstein
(the architect) has done a fantastic job in my view.

This poured concrete floor is fantastic!

I am really into this kind of windows.. Always have been.

Great shelves & ladder.

For those of you who are not familiar with Amy's work,
do visit her website - her style is very likeable and
she has worked with a long (very long!) list of impressive
clients such as Saks 5th Ave, Martha Stewart, Clinique etc.

What ever these yellow ball flowers are (Mimosa?), they really appeal to me..

I'd love to hide behind here for an hour or so..

This reminds me of Swedish summer for some reason..
Must be the yellow & blue against all that crisp white.

Aaaahh...

More (much more) from HERE.
