I had a slanted ceiling just like this when I was little.
In fact it was in my very first 'big girl room'.

The walls were pale green, my curtains made of
a typically 70s Scandinavian fabric with large red
strawberries and dark green leaves. The floors
were wooden and my bed white with a lovely
mid-pink throw that my grandmother had made.
I also had a hand-me-down desk from my sister,
that my dad painted in high gloss deep (!) green.
I loved that desk - in fact I loved anything my sister
had touched. It was the ultimate treat to inherit from her!
What did your first room look like?

Hi, Charlotta. It has been good to "hear" from you over in my neck of the woods. Wanted you to know I am enjoying visiting you too. (Love the shutter post (I'm a big fan, too)...and anything about chocolate is always going to go over well with me!)
My first room was upstairs in the attic of our house and I got to select the carpet, paint and bedding. My first design job!
Looking back at my carpet choice...well, it was the 70's, so not entirely my fault!)
Have a wonderful weekend. Hope it's sunny! ~LeAnn
Hi Charlotta! I stopped by from A Perfect Gray, what a lovely blog, I am definitely following!
I decorated and re-decorated my room, like every weekend! I remember light wooden floors and a gigantic horse photo wall poster. And tons of plants in my window that I nurtured. And a dark sheep skin from Gotland. And my wooden desk that I had painted white myself (and you could tell!).
Did not set the standard for my future living style though. Still no horse and I basically kill very house plant. Not even a sheep skin in sight (even though I love them!).
Happy Easter girlie! To you and your family!
Much fondness, Mon
I wish you a happy and blessed Easter! xx Gypsy Purple
