The heart belongs to daddy..

 via eHow

Today it's 'Father's Day' here in Australia though we have celebrated without the guest of honour in the house.. Marshall is still away on a business trip and in fact I received an sms from him a little while ago saying that he was on an 80 year old open boat battling a storm an hour away from the docks outside Mumbai, India.. (yes, the zest for adventure runs in the family all round..!) So here we are with out a 'father' but with our hearts so full of love for this man that is the best dad ever to Oscar and Isabella!

Marshall and the kids 2003-2010

I remember the day Oscar was born. It was a Friday and it was very early morning. I had been in hospital for five weeks due to complications and this particular day the doctors decided that Oscar must come out and it was to be done by c-section. I called Marshall to ask him to come to the hospital and despite it being 5am he was by my side within 1/2 hour. I was being prepped for the surgery and he was whisked off by a nurse to get changed into 'operation theater gear'. He came back in what gave me the laugh of the day..! A 'surgeon's shower cap' and plastic shoe covers, and a nurse's tunic..! In the haste to get ready and back by my side he had forgotten to put the pants on.. The sight of his hairy legs beneath that 'dress' was fantastic and it made me laugh so hard it  took me a good while to calm down enough for them to place the epidural. (So what I needed!) From that day, Marshall has been the most loving and wonderful father (and husband) and the children love him to bits!!

Very sweet to share, I loved the read :) Gorgeous family and so happy! My husband travels a lot, so I understand the long distance love. My husband always tells me, it matters not the actual day, but that it is celebrated in our hearts and actions year round :) XO, Kelly

What a fun and lovely story!
The hairy legs, oh yes, I can see the fun part, despite to the seriousness in that picture! Great laugh this morning!
Also cute, cute pictures of your family!
As always, after a visit here I have a good, positive feeling leaving with me.
Thank you Charlotta for another lovely post!

Ps. Tack för din omtanke om mig och min mamma! Allt ok trots omständigheterna. Ny behandling insatt, så nu blickar vi framåt igen!
Stressa inte med att maila tillbaka. Det kommer bli tid för det med framöver!!! Kram på dig! Ds.
