Pine cones

Pine cones (and other cones for that matter) are
such a great decor resource for Winter.

I love decorating with them for Christmas and
it is just such a thing my mother and I used to do
when I was a wee little girl. We'd spray them
white, silver or gold and hang them in the tree or
put them on the Christmas table with candles & twigs.

Though these glammed up cones look great -
especially mixed with a few rustic basics,
a bowl of natural pine cones is just fabulous and
perhaps more in line with a Swedish style Christmas..

Here is some more inspiration for you.

I realize that some of these pictures are a little bit out
of date, but I love the ideas behind the actual execution..

Happy decorating!

Fold Here - cute steel wire cards

Though I always enjoy seeing varied interpretations
of old, tried & tested design concepts and executional styles,
it is nice to see something different & unique pop up.
These steel wire designed cards by 'Fold'
feel very fresh and new right now.

Edgecliff Road...

As the name suggests, this is like a candy store..
..only they don't sell candy.
At least not the kind you can eat..
..but they do however do delicious stationary,
cards and all sorts of marvellous things
you may need/want for a party.

Also, they have just opened a cafe,
which I am definitely going to try in the very near future.
I will let you know how it was..

Across the street from Le Bon Bon is another great little boutique
whose visual merchandiser creates such wonderful windows
that I have nearly bumped into other cars
in the round-about just outside the shop...

I will try to photograph some
over the next months to show you what I mean..

(I will park my car first though...)

No Chintz
And a few little steps away from Sambag
is heavenly fabric store No Chintz.

As pictures speak louder than words,
here is why I love this place...
